All teams will participate in the creation of a 3 course GARLIC themed meal
Teams will be responsible for making
1 amuse bouche ( small bite)
from a “Black Box” of ingredients
A time limit of 20 min for amuse bouche, 30 min for appetizer and 45 min for entrée will be enforced- changes to this at the judges discretion.
Each course will be presented to the judges upon completion
Judges will award points to each team based on
Excellent use of Garlic
Use of all Black Box Ingredients
Winners will be announced at the completion of all 3 courses and will be based on overall points awarded by the judges.
IN the event of a tie a 20 minute cook–off FINAL will be used to determine a winner
Sorrentino’s Chefs will be roaming around the tables to offer guidance, answer questions and assist where necessary.
Ages: In a team of two one must be over the age of 18
Prize: A trip for 2 to the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California
*This is a taped event by CTV. Winners will be interviewed live on the CTV Morning show on Friday, April 27th.
