Stella and Carmelo Rago were honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2005 and 2006. They were nominated in the Outstanding Philanthropist category in recognition of their philanthropic spirit and commitment to the community.
Stella and Carmelo were recognized and awarded ‘The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal’ by the Governor of Canada. This honour is administered by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall and awarded to 60,000 citizens and permanent residents of Canada who made a significant contribution to their fellow countrymen & their community.
Carmelo was presented with the Leader of Tomorrow award by Business in Edmonton in 2014. The program recognizes corporate leaders who have contributed to the city of Edmonton through their personal values, business practices, personal values, community involvement, and philanthropy.
